the creek looks good and was great for a brief and cold swim after gardening.

i brought a lot of bulbs that i'd found for 50c a packet and planted them around the cabin and the cottage.


we didn't get much done apart from planting and organising the piles of timber, but enjoyed the autumn weather and our magnificent views.

we checked on the plants we'd put in before summer to see how they'd fare. on the whole pretty good. the soil in the keylined areas was moist and obviously holding water well.

on the way home we stopped at nabiac show. these variegated roses seemed popular in the produce pavillion. and overpowering in their scent.
